Every one has parenting regrets. So far Nishu and I have done pretty well. We have a sweet, compassionate, well-behaved, sensitive little boy. But lately the phrase "I wish I never would have introduced him to Transformers" has been heard quite frequently in our house. Nishu didn't know the can of worms he was opening. The kid is obsessed. Christmas was all about transformers, it's all he talks about, it's all he plays with, he wants to read transformer books, wants to look them up on the computer, wants to watch transformer cartoons, and pretends everything that isn't a transformer is (e.g., legos, dolls, etc). It's taken him over to such an extent that he has left his love for music in the dust (hopefully temporarily), which makes us quite sad. He hasn't picked up his guitar in weeks and has forgotten songs that used to be old favorites. You know, when he was 3! Well, to my delight, this morning he woke up wanting to play music!! Kiran on guitar and mama on keyboard and drums (I'm pretty talented, huh?). He recently got an awesome new guitar strap from our friends Rajan, Tora, and baby Asha (who we really probably should call baby anymore, lol!). So, of course, I had to document it.
