Happy Birthday to me!

I didn't get a chance to post this for mother's day, but Nishu's mom sent me a beautiful flower arrangement. It was such a nice surprise and has held up surprisingly well! They're still on the table and look lovely! Thanks, mom!

Kiran spent some time this past week coloring...all transformers, superheros, and TMNT (you know, teenage mutant ninja turtles) coloring pages of course. I was informed today, however, that he doesn't like Transformers anymore (he told me I could get rid of all his transformers) because they have have guns and guns are bad. Hey, atleast something we tell him is sinking in!

Nishu is soooo clever, he hid all of my birthday presents very cleverly on top of the washer in the mudroom. Brilliant (note the sarcasm!).

But I did have a wonderful birthday. I woke up Friday to that nice little pile of presents which included new shoes and new sunglasses (even though Nishu thinks I already have plenty of each), a couple of CDs, a nice bottle of wine, a gift certificate to get my nails done (and he had already made the appointment for me for Saturday morning), and more...what wonderful men I have in my life!

Kiran wanted to try out the new shades, too.

Hang on there, buddy...not for many, many years!
My dad was in town for work so he stopped by a couple of days before my birthday, it's so nice that he can come visit so often. We all love it!!
And Avi even practiced tummy time...happily! Look at him roll his eyes at me like, "Yeah, yeah, mom. I can do it...see!"

To make me day even better...I was surprised by a package at the door with flowers from my mom and on Sunday morning Nishu's parents arranged for a HUGE breakfast from Panera. It was truly a wonderful birthday. Thanks everyone - I love you!
