Batteries
Kiran is not a fan of bugs. He flips out if there's a fly around the house. He repeatedly asks, "Is it too cold for mosquitos?" because he's fearful of being bitten. He won't go down a slide at the playground if he sees the teeniest tiniest ant on it. So, you can imagine how unhappy he was yesterday when he saw a moth on his sand table. The moth was dead, so I simply flicked it off the sand table onto the ground. Well, then Kiran became concerned about the moth (of course!). So, I told him it's okay, the moth is dead. He responded, "Oh...that moth needs new batteries?" You know, because when the mp3 player is dead, or the cell phone is dead it's because they need new batteries. I tried to explain that moths don't use batteries, but he insisted...the moth just needs new batteries. I'm sure we'll be looking for moth batteries at our next trip to Target!
