Guitar Center...like heaven!

So, we took Kiran out and about with us on Saturday. We went up the Indy area and spent the day shopping. Who knew a day out shopping with a toddler would be so fun! Guitar Center was like heaven for Kiran! He was completely enthralled by the guitars. He was briefly interested in the drums and keyboards, too, but the he couldn't tear himself away from the guitars and all the guys playing. There were quite a few young kids (13 years old or so) who were rockin' out and Kiran was absolutely enthralled! He would stand and stare, completely blank-faced, for what seemed like an eternity. One kid even played "Iron Man"...could it get any better? We left the store with a guitar stand for Kiran's electric guitar, which he and Nishu set up in Kiran's room so he can play his guitar whenever he pleases. Dinner at a mongolian bbq-type place was also a big hit. Despite his pickiness when it comes to veggies, Kiran managed to create a nice, healthy meal with baby corn, carrots, mushroom, and lots of water chestnuts. I was quite impressed. Before heading home we stopped at Barnes and Noble and were quite surprised to see that they had a great deal of entertainment that night (I'm still not sure why). There was a moonsand table, a beanbag toss game, an Xbox w/racing game, a Wii with Guitar Hero, and a stage w/Karaoke. Needless to say, the stage and microphone were a favorite! Kiran got up and sang to his hearts content. The Highschool Musical Karaoke CDs weren't much fun, so he just used the mic and sang his original...FooFa Girl, of course! Unfortunately, we didn't have our camera while we were out shopping (Guitar Center/Barnes and Noble), but here are some pics from when Kiran and his papa set up his new guitar stand.
